Unique photo displays
If you want to turn a photo collection into a wall centrepiece, here is a collection of the most creative - and doable - ideas I could find on the web, including some of my own projects. Traditional photo frames are great, but sometimes you just want to add a little something to make it yours!
Frame & twine
Admittedly, this is the only idea that requires an actual frame, even though it’s definitely not used in the traditional way! You can leave the frame without a back, add a background like my blue kitchen towel or twist the twine any way you like.

I gave this a background by covering the back of the frame with an IKEA kitchen towel. |

If you have woodworking talents, wood and hinge clips make for a lovely display with a farmhouse feel Tutorial: Sawsonskates |
Cork
I made this by using cork mats. It’s a non-traditional alternative to a noticeboard photo display. You can read my tutorial on painting cork mats here. |
Chalkboard and fridge art
Hand-drawing chalk frames around posters and photos is a really fun way to display them. This is a detail from a chalkboard wall in my entryway. Blu-tak works well to keep the photos in place. You could also achieve the same look on a glossy fridge with chalk pens!
