Quick guide to painting a chalkboard on a wall
When life gets out of control, you need more reliance on God, a lot of grace, and a little creative outlet! This chalkboard has been in the works for a while but is finally completed.
1. Paint with chalkboard paint. I chose not to paint the entire wall black so only did a large rectangle.

2. Prime the chalkboard. Use chalk on its side to cover the area. Next, dry erase with kitchen paper/microfibre cloth to get the chalk in the little cracks. Then wet erase with a damp piece of felt. Here is a good guide on how to do this from ishouldbemoppinghtefloor.
3. As this was a flat rectangle painted on the wall it needed a defining frame, which I hand drew with a chalk pen. A word on chalk pens, they don’t really completely rub out on blackboards, so only use them for more permanent designs.
4.And decorate! I used a combination of traditional chalk and chalk pen. Et voilĂ !
