Creative ideas to decorate walls and furniture
It’s Throwback Thursday and I came across some photos of past DIY decorating projects. This is when I had added some 3D elements to a wall and a splash of colour to worn-out wooden furniture. Here’s what I used to repaint the old wooden furniture:
- Tissue to clean wood well before painting and in between coats (Ideally, you would use sandpaper as well. But, being more interested in getting it done than having the sleekest finish, I skipped the sanding part and was still happy with the result. My husband, who loves carpentry, was horrified!)
- Wall paint
- Brushes
- Masking tape
This furniture took three coats of wall paint and looks mostly uniform. For a more distressed look, two coats would have been enough.
